Cities for Climate Protection

Murweh Shire Council

The Murweh Shire Council joined the Cities for Climate Protection in 2001. In that time, and with great support from the CCP Australia Team, Council has achieved Milestone 4 status and greatly increased community awareness of issues relating to CO2 emissions. This program has been the catalyst for Council to formulate strategies on other conservation and protection issues relating to our natural resources, which include the Save the Bilby Campaign, the promotion of pollution free skies in the Charleville Cosmos Centre marketing campaigns and the efficient management of our finite water resources.
