Data Viewer DVD
About the Data Viewer
The Data Viewer DVD contains a unique 30-year visual record of landscape and vegetation change in Australia. Using national snapshots of satellite data, the Data Viewer allows you to:
- zoom into any area of the continent
- compare satellite images between different years
- compare climatic data such as average temperature and rainfall, and forest cover statistics.
You can use the Data Viewer at the property or regional scale, to assess:
- where tree cover has changed
- where tree planting has been most effective
- which areas should be targeted for rehabilitation
- which areas have experienced drought in recent times.
