This report examines emission sources of nitrous oxide from Australian agricultural and forest lands, both for improving National Greenhouse Gas Inventory (reducing the uncertainties in the emission factors, the activity data, lack of coverage of measurements, spatial aggregation, and lack of information on specific on-farm practices), as well as mitigation options for reducing nitrous oxide emissions from agriculture.
