Projections are a key information input to Australia's greenhouse policy agenda. Projections underpin assessment of the effectiveness of existing measures, and the development of least cost options for further abatement.

Australia's Fourth National Communication

Projections work for Australia is also contained in Chapter 5 of Australia's Fourth National Report under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). The chapter provides projections of greenhouse gas emissions on both Kyoto and UNFCCC accounting bases with a focus on the year 2010.
