Legislative framework
The legislative framework is established by the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Act 2007. A number of legislative instruments sit under the Act, providing greater detail about corporations' obligations.
The NGER legislative framework comprises:
- The National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Act 2007
- The National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Regulations 2008
- The National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting (Measurement) Determination 2008
- Audit Legislative Instrument - under development - consultation scheduled for July and August 2008
